Bloomfield Viognier Captures Best of California
California - July 9, 2009 - Bloomfield Vineyards, a Brentwood-based winery owned and operated by Tom and Becky Bloomfield, announced today their awards from the California State Fair. These honors included their 2008 Viognier receiving Double Gold, 98 Points, Best of California, Best of Class Greater Bay Appellations, and Best of Region.
It is beyond words to explain the feelings I am having right now, explained Becky Bloomfield, owner and winemaker for Bloomfield Vineyards. Becky continued, And I hope these awards get people to not only discover the great varietal Viognier is, but to see that Contra Costa County is a great growing region that consistently produces great wine!
